AutoTorch!

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Ran on Kiln's test stand (2026-11-04): AutoTorchSetFabricClient did not start: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: Class com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.InputConstants does not have member field 'com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.InputConstants$Key UNKNOWN'.

What it needs from Kiln

  • com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.InputConstants.Key
  • net.minecraft.client.Options
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.AbstractSliderButton
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button.Builder
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button.OnPress
  • net.minecraft.client.multiplayer.MultiPlayerGameMode
  • net.minecraft.network.chat.CommonComponents
  • net.minecraft.world.entity.player.Inventory
  • net.minecraft.world.inventory.ContainerInput
  • net.minecraft.world.inventory.InventoryMenu
  • net.minecraft.world.level.block.TorchBlock
  • net.minecraft.world.phys.AABB
  • InputConstants.UNKNOWN
  • Minecraft.gameMode
  • GuiGraphicsExtractor.centeredText()
  • Screen.extractRenderState()
  • LocalPlayer.containerMenu
  • LocalPlayer.getBoundingBox()
  • LocalPlayer.getInventory()
  • LocalPlayer.inventoryMenu
  • LocalPlayer.onGround()
  • Level.getMaxLocalRawBrightness()
  • BlockState.canBeReplaced()
  • BlockState.isFaceSturdy()

On the roadmap: Minecraft's libraries and client API (0.2), Code next to data (0.3), Machines (0.4)

In the author's words

A client-side mod that automatically places torches at your feet when it gets dark. Fully configurable and pulls directly from your inventory!
