Capes

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Ran on Kiln's test stand (2026-11-04) without the mods it depends on: it stopped at kotlin.jvm.functions.Function0, a class from another mod or library the stand did not have.

What it needs from Kiln

  • Mixin
  • com.mojang.authlib.GameProfile
  • com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.NativeImage
  • net.fabricmc.fabric.api.client.command.v2.ClientCommandRegistrationCallback
  • net.fabricmc.fabric.api.client.command.v2.ClientCommands
  • net.fabricmc.fabric.api.client.command.v2.FabricClientCommandSource
  • net.minecraft.client.player.AbstractClientPlayer
  • net.minecraft.client.renderer.texture.AbstractTexture
  • net.minecraft.client.renderer.texture.DynamicTexture
  • net.minecraft.client.renderer.texture.TextureManager
  • net.minecraft.commands.arguments.EntityArgument
  • net.minecraft.core.ClientAsset
  • net.minecraft.core.ClientAsset.ResourceTexture
  • net.minecraft.core.ClientAsset.Texture
  • net.minecraft.core.UUIDUtil
  • net.minecraft.network.chat.ClickEvent
  • net.minecraft.network.chat.ClickEvent.CopyToClipboard
  • net.minecraft.network.chat.CommonComponents
  • net.minecraft.network.chat.HoverEvent
  • net.minecraft.network.chat.HoverEvent.ShowText
  • net.minecraft.network.chat.Style
  • Minecraft.getGameProfile()
  • Minecraft.getProxy()
  • Minecraft.getTextureManager()
  • Minecraft.submit()
  • ClientLevel.players()
  • LocalPlayer.getGameProfile()
  • MutableComponent.setStyle()

On the roadmap: Minecraft's libraries and client API (0.2), Code next to data (0.3), Mixin (0.5)

In the author's words

Lets you use capes from OptiFine, LabyMod and other cape mods

Scan

Scanned on 4 November 2026 against Kiln 0.2.0, file capes-1.5.10+26.3.jar. The scan reads the mod's classes; it does not run them.
