Client-side Custom Music Disc Fix

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Ran on Kiln's test stand (2026-11-04): ClientSideCustomMusicDiscFix did not start: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/core/particles/ParticleOptions.

What it needs from Kiln

  • Mixin
  • net.fabricmc.fabric.api.client.event.lifecycle.v1.ClientLifecycleEvents
  • net.fabricmc.fabric.api.client.event.lifecycle.v1.ClientLifecycleEvents.ClientStopping
  • net.minecraft.core.particles.ParticleTypes
  • net.minecraft.core.particles.ParticleOptions
  • ClientLevel.addParticle()
  • Vec3.atBottomCenterOf()

On the roadmap: Minecraft's libraries and client API (0.2), Code next to data (0.3), Mixin (0.5)

In the author's words

A simple client-side mod that fixes MC-260346 where custom music discs are cut off if they exceed the vanilla length.
