Effect Monitor

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Ran on Kiln's test stand (2026-11-04): EffectMonitor did not start: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: Class com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.InputConstants does not have member field 'com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.InputConstants$Key UNKNOWN'.

What it needs from Kiln

  • com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.InputConstants.Key
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.Hud
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button.Builder
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button.OnPress
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Tooltip
  • net.minecraft.world.effect.MobEffect
  • net.minecraft.world.effect.MobEffectCategory
  • net.minecraft.world.effect.MobEffectInstance
  • InputConstants.UNKNOWN
  • Gui.hud
  • LocalPlayer.getActiveEffects()
  • LocalPlayer.playSound()
  • SoundEvents.NOTE_BLOCK_BASEDRUM

On the roadmap: Minecraft's libraries and client API (0.2), Code next to data (0.3)

In the author's words

A lightweight client-side mod that notifies you when your potion effects are about to expire.
