HAProxyCompat

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Server-side mod: Kiln runs mods' code on Horizon's single-player server, not on dedicated servers.

What it needs from Kiln

  • Mixin
  • io.netty.buffer.ByteBuf
  • io.netty.buffer.DefaultByteBufHolder
  • io.netty.buffer.Unpooled
  • io.netty.channel.Channel
  • io.netty.channel.ChannelHandler
  • io.netty.channel.ChannelHandler.Sharable
  • io.netty.channel.ChannelHandlerContext
  • io.netty.channel.ChannelInboundHandlerAdapter
  • io.netty.channel.ChannelPipeline
  • io.netty.channel.local.LocalServerChannel
  • io.netty.handler.codec.ByteToMessageDecoder
  • io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException
  • io.netty.handler.codec.MessageToByteEncoder
  • io.netty.handler.codec.ProtocolDetectionResult
  • io.netty.util.AbstractReferenceCounted
  • io.netty.util.Attribute
  • io.netty.util.AttributeKey
  • io.netty.util.ByteProcessor
  • io.netty.util.CharsetUtil
  • io.netty.util.NetUtil
  • io.netty.util.ResourceLeakDetector
  • io.netty.util.ResourceLeakDetectorFactory
  • io.netty.util.ResourceLeakTracker
  • io.netty.util.internal.ObjectUtil
  • io.netty.util.internal.StringUtil
  • net.fabricmc.api.DedicatedServerModInitializer
  • net.minecraft.network.Connection
  • net.minecraft.network.protocol.status.ClientboundStatusResponsePacket
  • net.minecraft.network.protocol.status.ServerStatus
  • net.minecraft.network.protocol.status.ServerStatus.Version

On the roadmap: Minecraft's libraries and client API (0.2), Code next to data (0.3), Mixin (0.5)

In the author's words

Restores the real client IP on modded servers behind a reverse proxy (FRP, nginx, HAProxy, Traefik) by reading the PROXY protocol (v1/v2).

Scan

Scanned on 4 November 2026 against Kiln 0.2.0, file haproxycompat-1.1.0.jar. The scan reads the mod's classes; it does not run them.
