Dummy Items

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Ran on Kiln's test stand (2026-11-04): it stopped at eu.midnightdust.lib.config.MidnightConfig, a class from a jar nested inside the mod; Kiln does not unpack nested jars yet.

What it needs from Kiln

Item.Properties.modelId()
Item.Properties.overrideDescription()

On the roadmap: Code next to data (0.3)

In the author's words

A small mod that adds Dummy Items for map makers and datapack developers.

Scan

Scanned on 4 November 2026 against Kiln 0.2.0, file dummyitems-2.0a+26.3.jar. The scan reads the mod's classes; it does not run them.
