MegaBeaconBeams

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Ran on Kiln's test stand (2026-11-04): 1140 ticks with errors, first: an END_CLIENT_TICK listener threw java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: net/minecraft/client/resources/sounds/SoundInstance.

What it needs from Kiln

  • Mixin
  • com.mojang.blaze3d.vertex.PoseStack
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.AbstractSliderButton
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button.Builder
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button.OnPress
  • net.minecraft.client.renderer.blockentity.BeaconRenderer
  • net.minecraft.client.resources.sounds.AbstractSoundInstance
  • net.minecraft.client.resources.sounds.SoundInstance
  • net.minecraft.client.resources.sounds.SoundInstance.Attenuation
  • net.minecraft.client.sounds.SoundEngine
  • net.minecraft.client.sounds.SoundEngine.PlayResult
  • net.minecraft.client.sounds.SoundManager
  • net.minecraft.world.level.block.entity.BeaconBeamOwner
  • net.minecraft.world.level.block.entity.BeaconBeamOwner.Section
  • net.minecraft.world.level.block.entity.BeaconBlockEntity
  • net.minecraft.world.level.block.entity.BlockEntity
  • Minecraft.getSoundManager()
  • Font.width()
  • GuiGraphicsExtractor.fillGradient()
  • Screen.extractRenderState()
  • BlockPos.asLong()
  • BlockPos.asLong()
  • BlockPos.of()
  • SoundEvents.BEACON_AMBIENT
  • SoundEvents.BEACON_DEACTIVATE
  • Level.getBlockEntity()
  • Level.hasChunk()

On the roadmap: Minecraft's libraries and client API (0.2), Code next to data (0.3), Machines (0.4), Mixin (0.5)

In the author's words

The mod unites a lot of beams from adjacent beacons into a MEGABEAM. Oh, if you have really many beacons it will improve your fps.

Scan

Scanned on 4 November 2026 against Kiln 0.2.0, file megabeaconbeams-fabric-26.3.jar. The scan reads the mod's classes; it does not run them.
