SkinTotem

Calls something that is on Kiln's roadmap. Parts of it may already run.

Evidence

Ran on Kiln's test stand (2026-11-04): SkinTotemFabric did not start: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: Class net.minecraft.client.Minecraft does not have member field 'java.io.File gameDirectory'.

What it needs from Kiln

  • Mixin
  • com.mojang.blaze3d.platform.NativeImage
  • net.fabricmc.fabric.api.client.command.v2.ClientCommandRegistrationCallback
  • net.fabricmc.fabric.api.client.command.v2.ClientCommands
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button
  • net.minecraft.client.gui.components.Button.Builder

  • net.minecraft.world.entity.player.Inventory
  • net.minecraft.world.inventory.AbstractContainerMenu
  • net.minecraft.world.inventory.AnvilMenu
  • net.minecraft.world.inventory.Slot
  • Minecraft.execute()
  • Minecraft.gameDirectory
  • Minecraft.getTextureManager()
  • Minecraft.isSameThread()
  • GuiGraphicsExtractor.centeredText()
  • GuiGraphicsExtractor.nextStratum()
  • Screen.extractRenderState()
  • ClientLevel.entitiesForRendering()
  • ClientLevel.players()
  • LocalPlayer.containerMenu
  • LocalPlayer.getInventory()
  • ItemStack.getHoverName()
  • ItemStack.is()
  • Items.TOTEM_OF_UNDYING

On the roadmap: Minecraft's libraries and client API (0.2), Code next to data (0.3), Machines (0.4), Mixin (0.5)

In the author's words

This client-side mod changes the Totem of Undying texture to look like whatever skin you want, using an Anvil!
